Abilities

Carbon’s body produces an extreme amount of internally-created heat. When he assumes his fiery form, the outer tissue transforms into a shifting crust similar to volcanic magma. Beneath the outer crust, his form contains a rolling torrent of intense plasma energy. Able to generate heat in excess of 2000 degrees, he can control himself to still be cool to the touch while around others, if so wished.

 

 

Background

Born Halsey Jackson, Carbon came to be employed by Dysan Industries as one of countless others. Operating as a mid-level engineer, his life was forever changed one evening while working late within an experimental plasma recoup lab. Having entered the lab designated for discharge research, Jackson found himself unexpectedly locked within the lab’s confines while an experiment ran it’s course. Jackson’s tissue was torn apart as a then experimental energy was mixed with sun-based energy form of plasma. Upon his body’s recovery, most assumed Jackson’s demise. It wasn’t until days later that Jackson’s metabolism rebooted  into a fiery form, complete with Jackson’s consciousness.
